Suspect fires at, attempts to bomb, LoDo law firm
Denver police are looking for an elderly man who may be a client of a law firm at 20th and Market streets who came in about 10:45 a.m., fired one shot, threw what apparently was a Molotov cocktail and left.
Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said the shot didn’t hit anyone and the gas bomb went out before it could do any damage.
"We don’t know what prompted this, but believe the man was a client of a law firm at that location," he said.

no wonder there was a shooting--the assailant probably mistook the building for a medium-security prison.
actually, a shooting would freak me the eff out. can i take back my snide comment?
the law firm is appel and lucas. gary appel used to be an adjunct who taught creditors remedies at cu. nice guy. they do a lot of creditor stuff and bankruptcy. scary!
Boy, creditor and bankruptcy sounds just like the kind of firm that would have disgruntled, deperate clients. Scary stuff indeed.
wait, i can see being scared and stuff, but why were there dogs barking?

legally: i think the question is, in a firm that gets fire-bombed, why aren't there attack dogs everywhere?
