The "get ready for finals" LexisNexis-spam tonight had an interesting law journal article (forgive me Professor C., I put down my Torts homework to read it) on law school's effectiveness relative to learning styles identified by the Myers-Briggs Personality test. There are some good tips in the article about using the knowledge of one's personality type to make one a more successful law student.

i've tried to read that article three years in a row now and can't get beyond her profession of a 2.3 gpa or whatever it was. plus, it always seems too late in the semester to intuit my learning style. i need to figure out my outlining style...

but as an undergrad marketing major who used to write things like this, i can tell you that it's usually bs.
chances are that if you take it again you'll get different results. it's usually biased by your current mood and ability to recall events. it's hard to be objective about yourself.
and even if your answers are somewhat objective, the test isn't always correct in its assumptions.
but hey, you get a warm feeling when you've finally "figured out" your personality, don't you?
