After all this investigation, there is an indictment of "Scooter" for perjury, obstruction and false statements...And that's it? Don't get me wrong, these are serious, but the case reminds me of Whitewater. A lot of investigation of seemingly major crimes (and that is what the media got us focused on) that in the end peter out. At least these indictments were related to what Fitzgerald was originally investigating...But does anyone else feel a little let down after all the hype? If anyone was going to get indicted for passing on the name of a spy, it would have been Scooter right? Oh well...On to the next Supreme Court nomination!!
[Just to Clairify, I'm speaking about the level of media coverage all week which makes this feel like a let-down. On one other note, Fitzgerald's press conference was impressive.]
