A Clark County, Nevada loitering ordinance is written in a way that police could arrest cheerleaders holding car washes on prostitution charges. State Supreme Court Justices Ron Parraguirre and Michael Douglas questioned whether the ordinance gives police the authority to arrest people on prostitution charges who have engaged in legal actions like waving hands to get a vehicle to stop.
"It is terribly open-ended," Parraguirre said of the ordinance. "High school cheerleaders hailing cars for car washes could be arrested."
Douglas said a police officer might arrest any "scantily clad individual enticing people for car washing purposes." (Sounds like prostituting cheerleaders to me...)
