libraries are hot!
I'd thought there was no chance for sex appeal in the presidential/vp race since Edwards' untimely affair scandal, but then McCain brought in his new runner-up beauty queen. But this is even better.

Observations at this point in the semester: 1)class continues to be overrated 1)1Ls are bewildered that they are starting to get sick of pizza 3)some people are already spending too much time in the library, but even more are not spending any at all 4)Keanu Reeves is a decent actor in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure because he doesnt have to act 5)too many sick people come to class when they shouldn't 6)some professors assign wayyyyyyy too much reading 7)Diet Dr. Pepper really doesnt taste like regular Dr. Pepper
Right. I said that bar results usually come out a day earlier than they say on the site. This time, rumor has it Oct. 3. Trying to see if anyone else has heard that rumor (it's not top secret). But this blawg is DEAD. These guys wanted the class of 2008 to leave and look what that gets you: BOREDOM.
Can I propose a topic? As most of us have seen, this blog has its ups and downs and can be helpful or just a good place to complain. This is all well and good, but does anyone think this might harm us (as future CU alumn and current students hoping that our ranking stays the same/goes up for resume sake)? Will prospective student all-stars go elsewhere for fear that CU is not that great or filled with whiners? Just a thought...
People mining this blog for information about CU Law hopefully realize that a bunch of anonymous comments and semi-anonymous blog contributors are an unreliable source of information. If a potential applicant decides to attend another school after reading this blawg, then that might actually be a good thing.
The issue with employers is a bit stickier. Imagine, if you will, a 60 year-old hiring partner trying to decide whether to employ a CU Law grad. That person doesn't know that this blog represents a small but vocal minority of the student body, but his colleague (a DU grad) hands him a stack of print-outs representing some of the more choice items from that have been posted in the past four years. His first question?
Has anyone heard of a law school that isn't filled with whiners? I doubt such a place exists.
I don't think that this blawg accurately represents our students. In general, they're very friendly and laid back, especially compared to the student body at other law schools. Hopefully, prospective students will come visit instead of being scared away by a few people who enjoy being total jerks and who've graduated and moved out of state.

News flash: 1 is now not the loneliest number, and its assertion that 2 can be as sad as 1 has been proven by 2's omission from the previous poll.

If you can answer the above question it means that you are actually coming to school (presumably to attend class) and therefore SHAME ON YOU.

Does anyone know when bar results are supposed to be out? I've heard Oct. 3 (they're usually only one day early, so I was expecting them on the 8th.)
The S. Ct. website says October 9 for bar results.
